The 2026-2027 Administration
As I begin my term as Worshipful Master of Carey Wheaton Lodge No. 307, I am both humbled and honored by the trust my Brothers have placed in me. My vision for this administration is captured in a simple but meaningful theme: “Preserving Our Legacy and Preparing Our Future.”
I believe it is our responsibility to honor the sacrifices, accomplishments, and traditions that have shaped our Lodge while ensuring that we leave behind an organization that is stronger, more united, and better prepared for the generations that will follow. Through brotherly love, discipline, and purposeful leadership, we will continue building upon the strong foundation established by those who came before us.
In alignment with the Grand Master’s theme, “Prince Hall Masons Dedicated to Serving Humanity,” I believe our work must extend beyond the walls of the lodge and into our homes, churches, workplaces, and communities. My commitment is to lead with humility, integrity, and a spirit of service while encouraging every Brother to contribute his talents toward the betterment of our Lodge and the communities we serve. Together, we will strengthen our bonds of brotherhood, expand our impact, and ensure that Carey Wheaton Lodge remains a beacon of leadership, service, and excellence. I firmly believe our best days are ahead of us, and I look forward to laboring alongside my Brothers as we preserve our legacy and prepare our future.
Recent Events
The Masonic funeral of Worshipful Past Master Steward C. Williams is a prestigious ceremony honoring his significant contributions to the fraternity. Rooted in tradition, the service reflects Masonic values and includes readings from sacred texts and heartfelt prayers.
Fellow Masons, in their regalia, gather to express respect and solidarity, highlighting themes of charity and the eternal soul, providing comfort to grieving loved ones. Williams will be remembered for his leadership, wisdom, and service, leaving a lasting legacy within his lodge and the Masonic community. This ceremony honors his life and reaffirms the values that unite Masons in mutual respect.

House of the Temple
Our visit to the George Washington Masonic National Memorial and the House of the Temple was a truly enriching and successful experience. Brothers, family, friends, and aspirants joined together in fellowship as we explored two of the most historic and significant Masonic landmarks in the nation. From the inspiring architecture to the profound lessons preserved within each hall, the trip strengthened our bonds and deepened our appreciation for the heritage of our Craft. It was a day filled with knowledge, unity, and pride in Prince Hall Freemasonry.
For Freemasons, the day holds symbolic importance as St. John the Baptist embodies virtues such as integrity, humility, and devotion to truth, aligning with Masonic principles of moral and spiritual enlightenment.
The Pre-Thanksgiving Dinner hosted by Carey Wheaton Lodge has been a cherished tradition for 59 years, bringing together the extended Masonic community and their families for an evening of fellowship, gratitude, and celebration. Held in one of our local churches, this annual event exemplifies the spirit of unity and brotherhood that lies at the heart of Freemasonry. It serves as an opportunity for members, their loved ones, and friends to connect, reflect, and strengthen the bonds that unite us, not just as Masons but as a community.
