I was raised in the small farming county of Nathalie Virginia with 9 siblings and came to Richmond to continue my education at Virginia Union University. While at Virginia Union University I grew into becoming a man and learned how to face all of the challenges that life would soon bring to me. I met my wife while at Virginia Union and we would later have three children that I continue to be very proud of today. There is a very rich history within Prince Hall Freemasonry that has drawn me close and created a strong desire to be a part of the mission. Over the years I have met and become good friends with several members of Prince Hall Freemasonry and consider them to be upstanding and forthright men. I have inquired with several of my friends about joining freemasonry. I had never in the past taken the steps to move forward with becoming a Prince Hall Freemason due to the timing and things that were happening in my personal and
professional life. But I believe that everything has a time and place in this life.
I am now taking this step to move forward with my long standing desire to become a Prince Hall Freemason because of the friendships, aptitude and community service that I have seen these men display. I want to be a part of continuing that history and tradition through membership in Carey Wheaton Lodge #307, a lodge that is local to my residence and I also would have an opportunity to serve with other brothers that I grew up with. One who was also a current member and one that was in this process along with me.
