W.P.M. Silvester Harris

My masonic journey started in Carey Wheaton Lodge #307 on July 13, 2010 as an Entered Apprentice, and then I was passed to the degree of Fellowcraft on August 10, 2010 and then I was raised to the degree of a Master Mason on September 15, 2010.  I served the following positions: Junior and Senior Steward, Senior Deacon, Junior and Senior Warden (on two different occasions) and 4 years straight as Worshipful Master, second to another highly esteemed brother who served 5 years straight in the East. I participated in degree work in 2014, 2015 and 2022 assisting 4 new brothers in the craft, one being my brother (K. Harris).  Because I first became a Mason in my heart, I expanded my masonic journey to the Holy Royal Arch as I served as Excellent High Priest and I was appointed in 2021 as District Deputy Grand High Priest for 2nd District (Richmond Chapter #7 and Haggai Chapter #18) of Virginia. On February 28, 2022, I presided as Right Worshipful Master (4th Degree) during the first statewide degree work in Virginia.   I served two consecutive terms (January 2021-December 2022) during the Covid-19 Pandemic as Eminent Commander of Mt Olivet Commandery #2 Knights Templar  I am currently the Illustrious Deputy Master of Richmond Council #4 Royal and Select Masters  April 19, 2022, I joined the Grand United Order of Odd Fellows, Henrico Lodge No. 1994 I pride myself on having excellent attendance in all of the Appendant Bodies of masonry which is a rarity today.  If it is God’s will and within the length of my cable tow, I am sure I will join more houses of Masonry to be able to serve the community more.
